Something's gobbling up my stuff!

Had some winged visitors drop into my back yard this morning, it was a bit of a surprise. I snapped a few pictures of them, thought I would share a few.

I'm craving some stuffing and cranberry sauce, though...

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

David, thatks for posting those pix. I have been in the city limits for 8 years now so I do not get to see anything but white winged doves.

Dude, I know the difference, and you did see the pictures, right? I live in Santa Teresa out south and we back up to Santa Teresa County Park, with a bunch of open space and hills about 1/2 a block away. When I'm walking or hiking in the hills behind the house I run into these things all the time (lots of deer, too, that's made for a few interesting encounter on the way home). It's rare they come down into the neighborhood, though, and I've never seen 8 of them down here in the houses.

Yep, u r correctomundo! I've never encountered those wild birds that close. We have both here with the famous Return of the Buzzards .
Turkey vultures are really UGLY! (below)

It's an annual event as well as the local eagle nesting areas in one of the local National Parks

We had a flock used to walk thru twice daily, back in CT. Had to be 30 birds, easy. Things got real interesting if someone was out walking the dog. They would just "flow" right around us as we kept walking. Drove the dog NUTS!

Believe me, you haven't had any fun till you been on the 'control' end of a leash with a 140 # Husky-Shepherd mix walking thru a flock of turkeys!
