TOLLROAD jurisdiction = TXDPS

Ok.. since I'm not typing from a hospital room and didn't even swap paint with the "operator" of the car, I thought I'd let you on to something.

I had an opportunity to further enhance my training today while northbound on the new TOLLROAD.

Seems I was occupying the other guys lane. He looked at me and just "merged". God, I love LT brakes and handling..

From a safe following distance I raised my hands in a gesture meaning "WTF?" To which I received the same reply.

The license number TX 091-XWS was on the vehicle.

I went to the nearest cop shop and was told..."We don't have jurisdiction on the Tollroad, that is TXDPS only. Maybe you could contact them."

Thanks, I will.

Life is better in West Texas

That's the stigmata unique to your area.

Here in El Paso, it's a more subtle boredom.

Accidia is the term first used by Gregory the Great; I'm dealing with it.

Hey lj...
I don't think Awstun has much interest in the "stigmata".. yet, I do get your drift...

The cop was interested in helping and was apologetic that he couldn't directly help... actually seemed perturbed about it, as I was.

You might be interested in something on the order of this. Use this a time or two on folks like that and I'm sure problems like that will cease.

LOL. Especially since the cops don't have jurisdiction. Wonder who writes speeding tickets then?

It would be worth the expense of the gas-guzzling SUV to have that kind of traffic control.

Ari could do that. Gun mounts on the top case, ammo in the side cases...

All of the jurisdictional issues aside. . .

What I find humerous is that the toll roads in Austin charge DPS, police, and fire vehicles the toll unless they have their lights and siren activated. It would seem to be incentive for them to pull someone over to avoid the toll.

Dillon. Same folks that make the blue reloaders. Now that makes sense too, still would take a while to reload for a couple of minutes worth of fun.

In my younger days I have kicked a few mirrors off cars that did that to me. A taxi driver did that to me on purpose in South Africa, looked me straight in the eye and gave me the look, and tried running me off the road. I gave way but followed him till he stopped at a red light, and was totally blocked in. I leaned my bike against his car door, and punched his window in with my gloved Hein Gerricke fist. He tried escaping out the other door. I just casually lane splitted and was gone. Whole episode took about 10 seconds.

Current rides:
2003 BMW 1200 LT (bought in 2006)

Past rides:
97 Kawasaki ZX11(bought new in 1997, sadly sold in September 2014)
89 Honda Hurricane (sold)
88 Honda Hurricane (traded on an SUV)
86 Kawasaki 1000R (stolen but recovered)
84 Honda 750F (traded on 1000R)
81 Suzuki GSX1100 (sold)
78 Suzuki GS750 (traded on GSX1100)
74 Yamaha RD50 (sold)
