Sorry! Sold my K1200LT

Some will remember the nightmare I had with changing my brake lines out,,,, eventually found that I did the mistake....
Well, with all the nightmare stories I hear about these bikes..... I did buy it for a 2000 mile road trip, but riding it I was constantly worried with what's going to go wrong, will the clutch go out and leave me on the side of the road, amongst other negative thoughts....

I did the 2000 mile road trip on my 13 Kawasaki Concours 1400 without any issues.
When I got home I decided to sell the K as it constantly worried me riding it.
Don't get me wrong, total pleasure and comfort riding it, but could never relax....
Saying that, sold it and bought myself a clean 2011 Suzuki Vstrom 650, with lots of farkles,,, now I feel happy riding this....
I'll still be in the forums guys.....

I never really worried during the actual trip with my KLT but it does seem Iíll always over prepare it before a trip as compared to my other vehicles. Like going through everything that could possibly be a problem or give me trouble when far away from home! I guess Iím concerned due to it not being used as a daily driver and often sits for many weeks or even months during winter. When the wife and I do hop on it weíll be away for well over a week or put a couple thousand miles on it at a time.

Or, could it be the fact Iíve talked up my BMW ride so much as a dependable long distance luxury touring machine, that Iíll be damned if my HD or Indian riding friends catch me broke down on the side of the road!!! But donít tell Ďem "I" said that!

Sorry about your LT experience. I have had my share of issues but the old girl never let me down on any of my many road trips over the last 15 years and 112,000 miles. She just likes to break at home but none of her breaks actually stopped me from riding her.
