I was watching Fox news a little earlier and they had an even more spectacular video of this.

Decades ago I was out running before dawn and as I came over a small rise had a spectacular view of the western sky. As I was looking up a small meteor started to glow. And get bigger, and brighter, and develop an almost cylindrical shape. Relative to everything else in the sky it huge and slow, like watching a house. It was glowing to an orange-red when it exploded and completely vaporized. Absolutely amazing.

I mentioned it the next day to a friend who was also a morning runner. He hadn't seen anything, but came into my office a few minutes later with a newspaper blurb about a spent Russian rocket booster re-entering the atmosphere over Arizona. That explained the cylindrical shape and size.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Thank goodness! For a while, I thought it might have something to do with Pat Robinson's recent conversation with God.

The other night, a meteor fell through the roof of a house in New Jersey and was embedded into the bathroom wall.
