Thumbs up Trip advice

My major destinations for a 28 day trip looking for suggestions on most scenic roads.
From Lake Havasu, AZ to Moab, Ut.
Moab to Denver
Denver to OK City
OK City to Kansas City, Mo
Kansas City to Louisville, Ky
to Atlanta, Ga through Smokey Mtns
to the Appalacian Trl
To Shenadoah Park and to Gettysburg.
We are jumping around some to accomodate my partner's interests.
We will both be on K 1200's and will not be camping.

By all means ride the Cherohola Skyway (TN165/NC143) eastward from Tellico Plains, TN, to just north of Robinsville, Nc. It's a national park highway like the Blue Ridge Parkway.

From the Skyway's east end you can go north to the infamous Tail of the Dragon, but avoid that on weekends, when it's crammed with screaming idiots on squid bikes who ride well above their skill levels and often don't stay in their lanes. Also John Law is thick on the weekends. Avoid the sausage patty at the restaurant at Deal's Gap at the south end of the The Tail.

GA 60 south from Copperhill, NC/McCaysville, GA (share a city limit on the state line) down to Dahonega, GA is a beautiful road, in stretches like a scaled-up version of The Tail.

Helen, GA is a little hamlet where all the buildings are done up like a 19th Century Swiss mountain village, and a popular tourist attraction. Photo ops by the dozens.

Atlanta interstate traffic is like a giant parking lot -- being stirred at 80 mph. Say your prayers and have your will in order before entering.

Re: Trip advice

Depending upon your timeline. If you are going to hit 70 after Moab then take 128 out of Moab. If you want to take more time then double back down 191 to 46/90 to 141 to 50 to Whitewater. Decision time. If it's time to get some miles done then go toward Grand Junction and the big road. If not go to Delta on 50 then 92 to 133. Stop in Paonia for a moment. Decision time. Continue on 133 or jump off onto 12. Again it will depend on how much time you want to spend in those gorgeous mountains. All of that will get you to Denver, eventually

Another way to Denver:
From Flagstaff take 89 to 160 to 163 to Mexican Hat to 261 and the Moki Dugway. On to Durango and then over the Million Dollar Highway and on to Denver per your favorite pass. Or just pick one. It's all good.

We are located just North of Atlanta, with a large garage and tools, should you need anything while you are in our area.
