Thumbs up 12/29/06 - Are you riding today?

In an hour, I'll be headed south for a 300-500 mile day. Aw! Life is good here in tropical northern Ohio! Almost makes me want to reconsider my future moving plans. NOT!

36 . . . guess I'll put on the Gerbing's.

The sun is out but it's only up to 30F with ice still on the roads. Hopefully in a couple hours it will be clear enough for a ride.

Have Fun!

I wish. The 19f with 15mph winds I could handle, but the 3 or 4 inches of packed snow and ice on the roads. Maybe if I had a Motard....

Thumbs up

No riding at all this past week... Had the kids with me.
This weekend however is an entirely different story!!!
Cold (by SOCAL standards) but sunny! Air is crisp and the wind wiped out all the pollution. I actually can see the hills that are just miles away, calling my name... "Gilles... come ride us!!!" Yeah Baby! Life is grand!!!

For her I climbed the highest mountain!
For her I swam across the deepest ocean!
For her I walked through the largest desert!
And then she left me... She said I was never home!!!

Yes I am

I braved temps in the mid 40's this morning on the bicycle and will struggle through some mountain roads this afternoon under clear skies and temperatures in the low 70's. With the windchill, I may see temperatures in the mid 60's!!

Matter of fact, yes I did. Rode to work (YUCK) and fought chilly temps here in Houston. Only 68 in the morning!! Hope it gets better for the ride home.

Yep

Just back from riding with YOU and jsciullo. Looking forward to your post about that.

What a great day: beautiful weather, reasonable temps, clear and dry roads, the LT hums along like a sewing machine...

Still love the sound of that GT as it winds up through the gears...

Thumbs up Great riding weather in ABQ today

If it weren't for my broken right wing and wrecked '07 GS, I'd be out right now. I'm so glad I moved to the dry desert SW!

Just got home. What an awesome day of riding!!! Almost 400 miles, and half of that was twisties. (Yep! In Ohio! Who'd a thunk?!)

My GT turned 13K today! My favorite number!!! Had to stop and take pics.

Pulled out at 36, but it dipped to 31 shortly thereafter. Stayed in the 30s until noon. Got up to the mid-50s though. Back down to 39 as I pulled into the garage. Gerbing's ROCK!!! All 4 pieces kept me toasty from head to toe.

Tomorrow I'll post pics along with a more complete ride report. But for now, the little lady's by the fire. I think we need a glass of wine, and some "quality time". Later...

In this forum one assumes a corrallary to your question could be something along the lines of "Is anybody going to eat today?"

But just one stroll around the parking lot at CCR, and the truth is revealed.

Nice day in LA today. 35* when I got to the Rock Store for breakfast at 7:30. Warmed up nicely later. Found a couple of new roads, too.

Happy New Year.

I haven't for the past few days, but I'm on vacation next week. I think I might just "go for a ride." I've never done that on the LT. If I think about it, I'll take a picture somewhere.

Rode out to meet the HDDC guys at Dougs house in Lockeford. Raffy, John, Roger, Dell, Doug and myself were meeting to work on Raffy's BAT (Big Ass Trailer), and do a little demo work! However, lunch seemed like a good idea, then some time fooling around on the computer, and when I left at 3:30 they were considering starting some work. Of course, by then the Corona's had been opened....

Nice day though!

Here's a chance to "redeem" yourself, Mike: why don't you, Joe, and other Cleveland-area types ride down to Delaware (I-71) and meet up for tomorrow's New Year's Day ride. It's just a show-up-and-kick-the-tires session at A.D. Farrow's new facility under construction, way north of Columbus. You even get a free pin! We could have lunch afterwards.

(PM to Jsciullo: No, this is not more evidence that I'm going over to the Dark Side. Just a chance to get out and ride on the first day of the year. )

I dunno Jim. Did you see the beard this guy is starting to sport? Leather tassels hanging off his handgrips ain't too far behind! And I highly doubt that Aerostich is going to make him that 1-piece full-leather riding outfit, complete with embroidery, metal studs, and fringe all the way up the sleeves.
