A guy at the office got bored with mountain biking and took up unicycle mountain biking. I don't think he's crazy enough to ride bridge railings though. At least I hope not.

Wow. Especially the part on the round bridge railing.

But why do they always have to pick such crappy music? Or am I just getting old?

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Of course you all realize that he would have never been able to perform these unicycle stunts with Metz ME880s!

Also notice that he was playing safe while riding on the bridge... He was wearing a helmet and knee guards!

Not sure... but I think he was also wearing this:

Gilles & Kathy
BMWMOA# 154719
IBA# 71594
2011 Ostra Gray RT
06 Mercedes-Benz E350 Estate (parts and people hauler)
2012 BMW X3 (parts and people hauler)
86 Porsche 911 Cabriolet (my "new" baby)

For her I climbed the highest mountain!
For her I swam across the deepest ocean!
For her I walked through the largest desert!
And then she left me... She said I was never home!!!

Exactly. I have fond memories of strafing Ortega Highway to early Metallica on my old XS11. But my favorite twisties soundtrack has to be Achilles Last Stand at full volume. You just get into a sort of groove where it all just flows to the music.

Back to the Uni vid...

Thanks a lot Dick...just reminded me that I gotta spend some time on MINE.
I rode a Uni all through College at SFA and Texas A&M. I rode over 2 miles each way to my classes at A&M. I got very good for a while. I did stairs (up and down), drops, freewheeling, one footing, backwards, spins, etc. Back then MUNIs (mountain unicycles) did not exist or I'd been big into that!!!

You guys are impressed...but unless you've done it yourself...you can't be impressed enough with the stuff that guy does. It's hard going downhill that steep when you can't coast and don't have brakes. It's all leg muscle! His ability to keep his line (bridge rails) is unbelievable. Somebody tell Grif that there is a handle on the front of the seat (really) and it's that which he grabs. It's like riding a bull!

I quit riding for 10 years...and just put a new tire on mine and started trying to regain my form a few months back. I can still ride...but I lost my skills and style.

Thanks Dick!
