Sitting down with a lunatic?

The Baker/Hamilton commission wants us to sit down and talk to this lunatic?

Don't get me wrong. Things need to change but suggesting we talk to the completely irrational mini-Adolf running Iran is totaly ludicrous.

What is it they say- "Keep your friends close and your enemies closer"?

We do need to engage those in the world that disagree with us. I'm NOT endorsing anything this wacko spouts, but there seems to be a bit of muscle flexing from him and others within his country as a sort of show of "I'm in charge" sort of thing. There's some evidence that the Islamic revolution is running out of steam, and it behooves us to pay attention to what is/may be happening sometime soon. He's grandstanding for his domestic agenda more than foreign policy, IMO.

Just out of curiosity, what good did it do for Chamberlain to have a sit-down with Hitler?
