Exclamation The new MotoGP 800s

They sound like they're 2-cycle motors again. CLICK
But I bet they're no slower than last year's liter bikes.

That's cool! I wonder how fast they're spinning those motors now? Also, did you see the funky tail section on Hayden and Pedrosa's bikes? Marco Melandri's bike (which is a Honda as well, unless Fortuna jumped to another manufacturer) was still styled and piped like the 990cc bikes. It was nice to see the Ilmor in there as well. Oh, and the Ducs sounded like Ducs.

So Joe, you ready to see these boys run for real??? Only 7 months and 12 days!!

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

I'm not sure how much you guys keep up with GP but I do.
The last test had the 800's at only a few .01s off the record pace of last year and that was only the first tests. Jan. 17 or so starts the next batch of tests. Nicky Hayden will be back with his repaired shoulder. I will be keeping track of every lap. I think Honda made the bikes for Pedrosa not Hayden. They tried that last year and Hayden still won with a lttle luck. But he was the most consistent. I will be there with you all ,be ready.

Zeke,

I watch all the races on SPEED, as well as surf motogp.com and listen to a motogp-based podcast throughout the racing season. But I will be more interested than ever now that I know I'm going to Laguna Seca this year with Mr. Taylor.

Just Joe;

If you have never been there before you will enjoy. I went the first year,with all the problems. Get to the corkscrew and you may be suprised how loud they are. Make sure you get down to the shops you will find some very interesting things there. Have a great time.

Don't worry, I will definitely SEE IT ALL! And I'll have David Taylor there to escort me around. He went last year, and talked me into going in '07 after we downed a few too many Guinness at CCR '06.

Speaking of which, if you haven't given it any thought, look into going to CCR (Curve Cowboy Reunion) this coming August. Big fun!
