Question Cross Country

I just received my notice from Cross Country Motor Club about renewal. Have any members used this assistance plan and is it worth renewal?

Check out AAA as they do 100 miles for the gold card. Good for autos too.

Thanks for the reply Jim. We used to have AAA years ago. Was a member from 1977 thru 1994 and only used the trip planner map thingy they make up for you, then one hot day in August of '94 I was out west in South Dakota and had a bearing go out, made the call and the operator said they could send a tow out in a couple of hours however it would cost me their overtime rate (Sunday), it's not like I had a laptop or local yellow pages in my truck. When I got back home the following week I cancelled my subscription.

Many have reported bad experiences with Cross Country, I included. I wouldn't renew.
