Thumbs down HD Rumor

A rumor going around here is that Harley is preparing to eliminate air-cooled engines in favor of water-cooled in order to meet tougher EPA standards. This is supposed to happen by 2007. Anyone else hear this?

it doesn't ring true. harleys still use two-valve technology that is extremely fuel efficient and low emmission. in fact, the 2006 buells don't even have catalytic converters ... not even in california. turns out they don't need 'em. plus they get gas mileage in the 50s.
