Signs

Something peculiar on my east states trip
I am fascinated with signs since they speak when there is no one there to do the talking.
Anyways "End measured mile" and "Begin measured mile" had me scratching my wits. Some wisdom here. Does that mean if you get pulled over no awards would be given cause no one is counting the miles. Or is it like the ones that say deer crossing and you see deer walking down the side to get a closer look.

Re: Signs

Those signs are used in case you want to check the calibration of your odometer/speedometer. They are precisely a mile apart instead of "approximately" a mile apart.

Thanks for the info
That being the case I wonder home come they are not more wide spread. I only noticed them in the east. Have I been blind to them everywhere else. Can't say I have ever seen them close to home.
