Southwest Ontario Ride

Based on amount of notice and weather predictions, looks like it would be best to do it this Sunday. Meeting time and place to be announced. Any one interested?

hi gary, was in pt huron last weekend... from sarnia you can hug the water and head south to hwy 7. im further south just past 401 but 7 is a much better ride if you have the time, if you are going back through windsor, shoot me a line for a meet and greet.

I could be wrong, would not be the first time, but I read it as him joking that to come to the ride from Edmonton would take him at least three days not seriously planning on coming.

I am up for a ride, which way are you headed?

Knowing Gary, he probably would be there by noon Monday, if he wanted.

Im great with a ladder so long as it not higher than 2 feet...

Ok, how about a ride out your way, start your chores early and get them finished by the time we get there and head to Goderich??? Unless you can suggest a better route.

Re: Southwest Ontario Ride

I am at work today but if you guys aren't real early risers I might be able to get things done. We have ivy growing on the house and while we where out west it grew and pretty much covered the windows. I promised that we would be able to look out the windows next week.

Have you considered relationship counselling as career path? Seriously I was away for a month on the bike so spending a few days around the house seems ok.

Gerhard

P.S. I want to make it out to this place before the summer is done http://www.ramblinroad.ca Was highly recommended to me but I am not sure if they are open on Sundays.

Re: Southwest Ontario Ride

Slept in today, so I would not be able to make it to Ridgetown by 10.

Gerhard, if you get your chores done are you up for a shorter ride this afternoon?

Have been off line all day, was doing yard work from 10 till just after 5. Just put dinner on the egg so I guess I am done for the day. Maybe one day next weekend if your not going away for the long weekend. We will be gone the following two weekends.

Re: Southwest Ontario Ride

So how about we try this again, this time with a little more notice and the route information which will start this Saturday in Ridgetown exit 109, if you are that far south, and west at 10AM and end up in Dundas via London, 401 and 403 (the idea being to get to our destination to explore the area). If you are along the route and would like to join in part way through, just chime in with your desired place to meet.

If another destination is preferred, please state your recommended route which will be decided on by the majority.

All are welcomed weather permitting, rain check - Sunday.

Over to you...

Re: Southwest Ontario Ride

Hi Gerhard,

Yes, it has been quiet so I did not think it was a go. Can we reschedule? If you are free this Monday or Tuesday evening, I need to make a trip to Pt Huron if you are interested.

Re: Southwest Ontario Ride

Sarnia is not too far but will have to take a rain cheque on this as I don't think I can get away early enough to make it. Maybe we will have a nice September weekend.

Gerhard

P.S. If you go and are hungry one of my favourite restaurants is in Point Edward, it doesn't look real appealing from the outside but the food is very good. It is called Salvators and is right under the Blue Water Bridge. http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restaurant...d_Ontario.html

Re: Southwest Ontario Ride

No problem, and I apologize for the mix-up. If you change your mind, I would be leaving my place around 4 and it is about 1 1/2 hour ride for me but I'm sure we will be able to get a Sep weekend to work too.

Thanks, I've been to Salvatori's and you are right it is great.
