Well from what I hear you have 4 times the amount of snow we have here. Was +5c here today and weekend looks good.

Re: New horse in the stable

Congrats, that is a nice looking bike. Is it a left over new 2012? Met a couple of guys on KLRs travelling across Newfoundland they were from Tennessee and carried enough gear to camp most nights of their trip. They were exploring a lot of back roads that were gravel and thought these were the ideal choice.

Hope you have safe ride today

Gerhard

P.S. We have very little snow here but all the salt, sand and icy spots in the morning will keep my bike parked for a while.

Re: New horse in the stable

Sad but true....I was away on vacation and came back to yet another snow storm. I am hoping for a sudden spring thaw!!!

Enjoy the new ride!

Re: New horse in the stable

If you're keeping up with your pace on the GTL you should be almost ready to book your first service appointment (weather permitting of course)

I only did 38km today, ride to breakfast and back. Now there is a winter storm warning, I guess I got it in just in time.

Re: New horse in the stable

Did another 40km here today. Wet roads and lots of mud. My icy road didn't challenge the KLR.

Supposed to be +5 here by Friday. Let's hope that holds and see what it can do for us.

Re: New horse in the stable

Looks like I have permission to ride to Prudhoe Bay from the boss after I ride to Ontario and back. Prodhoe bay will be on the KLR and Ontario will be on the GTL.
