Almost bike weather

We have had snow since the last week of October here in Edmonton. It looks like we are finally getting enough warm weather to melt the ice away. If it keeps warm for another week, I think I will be able to get Betsy out for a rip. Can't wait.....it has been a long winter!!!

Bike (03 r1150GAS) is packed in a friends trailer with 3 others & we are heading South on Monday 4th March for 3 weeks, Death Valley, Moab, or where ever as long as we are riding somewhere. A lot depending on what weather we run into in the South

Re: Almost bike weather

It has been a long winter! More snow for us over the last few days and I've been ploughing wet slush for the last two days. No way that I can even get to the bike for a while.

You couldn't convince me by looking out my window.
I feel your pain. Though you started a couple months before we did February was all snow and today is evidence of warmer temps yes but accompanied with more snow. Which unfortunately after leaving me pays a visit to the northeast and Canada. Unless of course Edmonton has relocated

Re: Almost bike weather

Just got back from a lunch date & saw a couple of guy's out riding as it's 5 or 6C...but I think that's taking it a little to close to a wipe out land & getting very wet if you happen to be near a large puddle & a car goes by...just to say you rode march 1st!

Re: Almost bike weather

The highways are pretty clear right now. It is just making your way through the city and getting out to them that is the tough part.

Re: Almost bike weather

Took a spin up to the Val-des-Bois area this morning. Beautiful ride ... grips and saddle on low heat the whole time though!

Re: Almost bike weather

Getting close. Next concern is dropping the bike in a pothole and not coming out

Re: Almost bike weather

It is pretty nice here went to work this morning it was 7ºC and returned home it was 15ºC, just about perfect. Soon we will be complaining about the heat.
