Laurentian Mountains

31 years ago my wife and I honeymooned at a resort that I think was called L Asteral. It was about an hour or so north of Montreal. Does anyone remember this resort? Does it go by a new name today?

I was thinking it would be nice to revisit when I do the Cabot Trail sometime next year.

That first honeymoon night we almost had to spend our first night in the rental car because we couldn't find the hotel. It was quite an experience for my wife as she had never traveled outside of Florida.

Re: Laurentian Mountains

try this :http://www.loewshotels.com/en/restaurants/l-astral

Its changed names, nice hotel and you have a great view of Quebec City ( revolving restaurant).

I little pricey but very nice. Had a conference there last winter.

Re: Laurentian Mountains

Wow, I think this is the right property but it's almost unrecognizable from our last visit. The gears are turning now, I've got to find a way to make it back there.

Thanks so much!

Yep, that looks like the place. Have you been there?

Re: Laurentian Mountains

Never to that resort, but I've been to the area regularly as it is only 2 hours for me. Incredible scenery, but no different than NH, northern Maine, Vermont.
