Re: From Louisiana To Nova Scotia

Don't forget to take your time through New England; its the best riding on earth. Go quickly past NYC and CT. Watch for LEO in MA. NH/VT is glorious; ride strait north to Lebanon and then head east. ME is great, but I'd stay way from water until north of Bar Harbor (unless you travel at night).

Enjoy.

Don't miss the Glenora Distillery !
http://www.glenoradistillery.com/
Interesting to visit, wonderful to stay overnight, excellent food at on site dining room.
Booze aint bad either.

We also enjoyed visiting the French fort at Louisbourg.

It was a fun visit in 2010 after CCR in Vermont.
Not as remote as I imagined but nice folks.
Cabot Trail was OK but I'm spoiled, the California Pacific coast can not be beat.

Enjoy your trip

Re: From Louisiana To Nova Scotia

Two great places to stay in Cape Breton: Cabot Shores on the east coast -- http://www.cabotshores.com/

and the Normaway Inn up in Margaree Valley: http://www.thenormawayinn.com/

GO to Prince Edward Island while you are up there and Acadia NP in Maine. Ride up the Champlain Valley in Vermont and across the MTs in VT and New Hampshire.
