Re: RT's around Kitchener

I'm about 120 miles from you. Not really close I s'pose. Like you I rarely see another RT in my area. Except last weekend I saw three including a Polar Metallic like mine. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to talk to any of the riders.
Cheers

Re: RT's around Kitchener

I've been going up to Aylmer Ontario, just north of London, for the Forest City Motorrad's ABC rally. Held on Victoria day weekend (weekend before our Memorial day) A great group of people and a great long weekend.
I highly recommend it!

Hi
I was riding down by Port Dover and a polar metallic RT passed coming from the other direction. (I was on the black 09 RT.)
The rider of the other bike was waving way outside the normal cool peace sign or point at the ground acknowledgement that I am accustomed to. I didn't wave because I thought he might be some homicidal nut case.
After he passed by, it dawned on me, he was waving to another RT.
Sorry, I'll wave back now...

Ellie, I do wave more enthusiastically at RTs. I don't see too many of them on the road. I don't often ride on your side of Toronto so unfortunately it was another nut case you saw. But when I do ride in the Kitchener area, I will watch for a black RT and be sure to wave.

Cheers
Peter

Hi
I'll start looking for RT's and I'll make sure I wave with lots of gusto.

To get this going, I suggest October 9th at 10:30 am in Georgetown Ontario?
I will find a restaurant that is open for breakie if you guys are interested?
Geez, Hockley Valley Road is right there...

I'm OK with the 9th at 10:30 in Georgetown. (That is the Thanksgiving weekend though. Is that a problem for anyone?)

Sure ... the one weekend that I didn't ride. Maybe next time. Did you enjoy the area? Where did you go? I ride extensively north of Port Perry (Highway 7) and east of Highway 12. If you are not familiar with the area, I can suggest roads that you might like. Just let me know how far you like to go and what kind of riding you enjoy.

Just got back from a ride. The fall colours have just about peaked north of Monck road. I found a couple of paved roads (probably old bush roads) that aren't fast but are twisty and hilly. Great riding.
Cheers

Hi
I meant Orangeville...I have Georgetown in my mind because of work...doh!
I think Orangeville is more central for everyone and the Hockley Valley road is near by if you feel like a ride.

So, 10:30 am October 9th at the Nifty Nook Restaurant.
Plug this into Google Maps: Nifty Nook RR 4 Lcd Main Orangeville, ON L9W 2Z1

See you there!

I know the area pretty good, I've been in Durham Region for 20 years. Ride hwy7 a lot, all the way to Kaladar. Also love the back roads as long as they are paved, last week I've bent my skid plate on 57 (...yeah road work) just south of 7A it looked like an obtacle course.

Thought you might be new to the area. I've ridden so much gravel this year due to construction. Was really bad a couple of weeks ago on 35 north of Dorset. Waiting for the flagman sure breaks the rhythm. I did see a silver RT north bound through Norland yesterday.

Georgetown was OK but Orangeville is closer.
Hope we can get a few RTs out for a ride.

I am gone out of the country until May 1st.
Can anyone make a suggestion on where and when to meet?
I was thinking a Sunday at a breakfast place central to everyone.
