Smile 24 in 24

I've decide in trying for my 2400km in 24 hours this year. I will look at attempting it in May 2010. My start and end point will be the Petro Canada gas station at Heart Lake Rd and Sandlewood. From there it's to Windsor then to Montmagny Quebec and back to Brampton. GPS = 2428km. All on the 401/410. I did the Lower Great Lakes a few years ago with the Zen riders.

Bowdon, Maybe you could route me the best way to get through Montreal. Last time I was through there I missed the cutoff and went through downtown.

I think I took 20 to 540 cutoff, it was a little confusing at that intersection.

Are familar with Montmangy? My GPS software has a Canadian Tire there but does not show any gas stations. I will need a gas slip with time and location on it from around there as close as possible to the hyway.

Re: 24 in 24

Gary;

This is not a big town (city) but has quite a few gas stations!! (one right on the highway). Should not be a problem for gas or some good resturants to eat ( if you have some time!!) or grab some snacks to get you through the day!!.

Once you are on the 20 going to Montreal ( just after going past Lachine) you will see a sign for the Champlain Bridge, cross the bridge, get in the right lane ( at the top of the bridge) and follow the road to under the bridge and this will take to down towards the 20 to Quebec City and beyond!!!

There is an easier way but you have to know the roads!! This keeps you on the Transcanada hiway (20 east).

Should be a nice ride!!
Regards,
Bowdon
