Canada Trip

Hello,

Is there anything I would need while riding in CA other than a passport and proof of insurance? I'll be in NB and NS for 2 weeks in June / July.

Cheers,
Jim

Visa/MasterCard/Amex; English-French Dictionary; no firearms; and a sense of humor, except we spell it "humour".

Re: Canada Trip

That's all you will need plus some rain gear, the love of fresh lobster and be prepared to meet lots of friendly people. You will enjoy yourself, come over to British Columbia for a visit.

All you need up here is a credit card; Visa/Amex and a big smile. You should enjoy your trip. Be sure to visit Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove in NS. The Cabot Trail is a must. If you are a history bufff go visit Fortress Louisbourg in CB. You will not be disappointed. Give me a ring if going through Fredericton.

No problem on the CC, humor, and french - english dictionary when in a pinch I hope some of it comes back to me. I will be stopping in Hanwell to visit a good friend and Haute-Aboujagane to see where my Mom grew up. The only goal for this trip is to ride the Cabot Trail other than that I'll follow sun. So I will be in the area for a while.

How are the camp grounds in the area? I'd like to camp, if it's dry and I'm not to tired that day, to save some money. What is the price of petro or what do you think it will be?

Cheers,
Jim

Camp grounds in CB are pretty goodl. There is a Provincial Park in Cheticamp just at the beginning of the Cabot Trail going east. Most people will do the trail one way than turn around and than do it in the opposite direction. It is worth doing it twice. Lots of B & B's and camp grounds around. If going to NS go to the Province of Nova Scotia web site and request a Motorcycle Tour Guide. Its free and gives you all kinds of info. When in Fredericton area give me a ring.

Re: Canada Trip

Hi ... gonna be coming up at the end of July ... specifically, 27 July 'til 5 August ... to visit Nova Scotia on the way to Newfoundland for Ride the Rock '09 in St John's. Maybe see some of you on the road? I'll be on a '99 R1200C however ... don't hold it against me for riding one ... just one ... of the best bikes on the road ...

Every day's a good day, it's just that some are better than others ...
