Red face Anyone pulling a trailer with their LT??

Hi all;

I am in the process of building a small cargo trailer (Harbor Freight) with a cartop cargo carrier and wanted to know if anyone in Canada was doing or has done something similar.

I have pulled a tent trailer with the K 1100 LT ( which will be going to a new home this Friday) for 12 years, and don't want to have to pull the tent trailer when we go on vacation for cargo if we are in a hotel. Si I decided to build a cargo trailer ( quite a few in the US, and have seen one in Ontario last week). I figured that it would be not hard, and far less costly then purchasing one for $1500.00 Can.

Will total the cost as I go along.

One thing that I did not calculate, was the RIV charge of $ 204.00 Can for importing into Canada!!! SUPRISE!!!!

Regards,
Bowdon

Re: Anyone pulling a trailer with their LT??

I remember reading about some that were made on bmwsporttouring.com in the trailering section. Have you looked at the Monogo trailer? I talked to a guy who was pulling it behind an R1200RT and he said he did not even know it was there. They are made in Quebec and the site said under $1000.00 canadian but they are not large.
