ABS Bleed Tool

Has anyone been able to get the proper funnel with the 3/8" dia neck to build the ABS Bleed Tool? McMaster-Carr will not ship to Canada. I already have the BMW plastic nut for the ABS unit but their is no joy without the proper funnel.

Regards...

Mugz

What do you need from McMaster-Carr, Give me a web page # or catalog #, we have MC catalogs at work, I don't remember them not shipping to Canada, we use them at work.

Hey Garry,

I have tried twice to buy from them and both times they responded with a negative "due to increasingly difficult custom regulation" they will only ship internationaly to established customers. I guess one funnel is just not worth their time.

The ABS funnel tool calls for part #4005T5 from MC. I would get two of these as I had to buy BMW PN: 24 51 7 677 998 which basicaly is two plastic nuts with rubber tubbing for the ABS unit. Maybe some else can use the tool as well.

Best regards...

Re: ABS Bleed Tool

Hey Garry,

I just did my 05 a few weeks back and didn't use the funnel contraption at all.

I "overfilled" the reservoirs on the pump and used one of those "El-Cheapo" bleeder (with tubing, magnet and small plastic) like "THIS " and stopped bleeding when it was getting full.

The wheel circuits flush quickly. Granted, I had to go refill more frequently than if I had the funnel thing, but, it works fine.

Just make sure you re-fill to the proper height when you are done.

Good Luck.

Re: ABS Bleed Tool

Gee, seems like enough hits to this post but still no joy. So I take it no one has tackled building the funnel tool. Do I have to go south of the border to get advise here?
