BMW System 6 EVO Helmet

Finally picked up my new helmet with communication system. Everything great apart from the plug on the charger, its a european style plug. Oh well I will just go and buy an adaptor for it.BMW System 6 EVO Helmet-dsc_1531.jpg

Same helmet that I have and it has been all good. I don't use the supplied charger it is just a USB charger and you probably already have a charger from a phone or camera kicking around.

Re: BMW System 6 EVO Helmet

What else do you need to go with this helmet system? Do you need something like a Sena. I am looking too purchase a new helmet. If this Evo has a built in system already it would be better than adding speakers and mic to a new helmet that comes without. Thank you.

Re: BMW System 6 EVO Helmet

The system 6 helmet does not come with speakers or a communications system. You can choose to go with a 3rd party unit or the BMW communicator. The advantage of the BMW is that it allows two helmets to pair to the bikes audio system, the downside it doesn't seem to pair with other manufacturer units and it has built in batteries which sometimes makes it more awkward to find places for charging the helmets in hotel rooms. Some people complain about the audio quality but in my opinion the wearing of foam ear plugs is essential in any helmet and improves the audio quality by a large margin. Overall I like the helmet and communicator and would buy it again.
