Unable to log in on iPad or iPhone

Any clues as to why when using my iPhone or iPad I cannot log in, but when using Windows I have no trouble at all? Error message on both Apple devices is that either my user name or password is incorrect. However, using the same user name and password on Windows-based desktop computer seconds later logs me in fine.
