Mystery goo off I75

Heading I75 north, I pulled off an exit in Tifton GA. Just before the stop light I noticed a good size puddle of something black, so I stopped short and then made my way as far to the right as possible. Touching a foot down I could tell the road was super slick... really slippey. Could have been diesel or oil, but it was a significant amount. Had I road through that, the left hand turn would have been impossible to negotiate.

A vehicle must have been leaking like a stuck pig to leave that much on the ground.

Good eyes.
Glad you saw it before you got to it. What time of day/evening was it? I hate to imagine something like that after dark and not being able to discern it before avoidance.
And by the way congrats on the "1000 post club"

Re: Mystery goo off I75

I encountered something like that up here a couple years ago. Turned out to be from a failed brake system on a small bus from the local transit company. Cops, fire dept. and public works had their hands full trying to clean that up.
