Get 'em started young

As a proud Papa, I could resist posting this. My 4 year old grandson. I asked him what kind of motorcycle he wanted. He said, "A purple one", so I painted all the trim purple, and this is what he did with it.

I'm jealous! Wish I had that at 4. Mine didn't have a motor... You should be proud.

Love it ... started both my kids on the PW50's ... grand daughter isn't quite 2, but Papa is definitely buying grand kids their first bikes :-) Very cool to share that with your grandson!!!

Re: Get 'em started young

My son started at age 4 and the daughter at age 6. Both raced and rode dirt until age 16 when other interests retired their riding. My daughter rides on the street now and we do a lot together. She started on a sporty with fat tires and moved to a Victory Cross Country two years ago. Everyone who see's her ride comments on just how good she is, I agree. My son hasn't taken up street bikes YET, but I'm sure he will at some point.
The dirt bike riding will save their butts some day, of that I am sure. So yep start them young....

Re: Get 'em started young

Great Video! That took me back a few years!

Teach is right about, "riding dirt will save their butts someday!" I know it has mine! Learning the basic body skills on the dirt is so much safer than trying to learn them on the street! There's NO forgiveness on the street and everyone wants to run you over!

I do belive the best street riders are those that were taught to ride at a young age...and that's usually in the dirt!
