W650

I just purchased a classic to go with my R1200RT.
It's a 2001 Kawasaki W650 with only 12,000 km on it.
Immaculate condition.
I miss having a simple, smaller stablemate to the RT and this beauty fits the bill.
Bring on the spring!

Re: W650

You are a man after my own heart.

I have a blue R1200RT and at one stage had an 06 w650. (a bronze one. It may have been an 05 first rego in 06)

I still have a soft spot for the W650.

Enjoy.

Nice. If I were to add another bike to the garage it would be that or a Bonnieville T100.

Re: W650

My "simple" bike is the R1100S. To reset the trip meter you just press the button--you don't have to decide which meter you want, cycle to it, press and hold for a few seconds, or peer through your bifocals to see it! Ignition can be off!

You do have to remember which gear you're in (if you care) because there's no gear indicator ... but on my RT I can seldom see the display because of the glare. It still has the does-nothing upward gear lever movement in top gear--the best and only needed indicator.

Re: W650

Hey Kent,
I have just purchased a 2001 R1100SLA and was wondering if there is any way of installing a gear shift indicator?
