Atlanta Bike Repair

I just saw this on Craig's List and thought it might be of interest to the "Locals" here in and around Atlanta.

Interesting Idea. When i was in the service YEARS ago, Special Services had a repair bay available to the GI's. the mechanics there helped us when we needed it.

If done correctly, it could be a good service for little $'s for us BMW riders (and others).

Re: Atlanta Bike Repair

Wish something like that was available around here. Just replacing tires would cost justify it. I'd be interested in using it to learn more about my bike. The additional help and new friends would be great too..

My first "tech" session, on my LT added enormously to my enjoyment of the bike, along with the increased knowledge.

Re: Atlanta Bike Repair

May not help ya'll over in Tampa, but TON UP JACKSONVILLE
( http://tonupjax.com/garage/ ) Offers a similar Do-It-Yourself service. Don't think the available equipment is quite as extensive as advertised at the Atlanta facility but probably more than adequate for most service issues. Have not used the service so don't know what the cost is. They also offer full service with their in-house mechanic.

Re: Atlanta Bike Repair

Lynn,

I saw the one in JAX a while back and thought it a great idea, just a little too far north.

We do have a local bicycle co-op shop locally near the university, but I don't need special equipment to change a bicycle tire! Got that one all figured out.

Hope you are enjoying the life up North...
