Is it being inordinately smug when you...

Pull up to the Drycleaners, pick up your pants and shirts, and they fit neatly in the topcase of the LT?

Lady gave me the oddest look when I walked out to the bike, then watched the process.

She said "Better hurry up, it looks like it's going to rain."

I said "Then I'll get wet, I'm pretty waterproof."

Hopped on the bike and rode on.

I don't know. How often do you feel "inordinately smug" around stupid people?

Maybe she was just concerned you might be related to the Wicked Witch of the west and you would melt.

I seem to recall her saying something like "I'm not"...perhaps SHE wasn't waterproof.

Honestly, that's one of the things I've picked up since riding a bike: How many people out there never leave the comfort of temperature stabilized, low humidity, 72 degrees?
