Are we the red headed stepchild of BMW?

They released a video of their history (pretty good: https://www.youtube.com/watch?featur...&v=3hk1ZaiAhfk )...but I didn't see an LT there...okay, no big deal, but then I found this book (http://www.amazon.com/The-Art-BMW-Mo...ref=pd_sim_b_1) , and it has LOTS of old and recent Beemers, but no K1200LT! Really! Check the Index, it's on amazon.

Well, wouldn't you? I hardly think the LT is THAT bad.

Re: Are we the red headed stepchild of BMW?

Seems like someone mentioned the LT was primarily marketed for the superslabs, found mainly in the USA (and perhaps Australia?). That could be the reason it hasn't received more respect/mention.

Re: Are we the red headed stepchild of BMW?

I wonder if the LT is more like the R1200C, a bike created for a perceived market but not really at the heart of BMW. Both had a nice run but apparently is not going to be part of the permanent line up.
