NEW BMW Motorrad USA TV ads

Tonight, March 1, 2013 BMW Motorrrad USA kicks off a 4 month TV commercial campaign called Feed Your Restless in the US market. There are 4 different commercials. The 4th combines the 3 other commercials but will be "tagged" to a dealer by TV market.

Tonight's commercials will be on ESPN, Velocity, Discovery, History Channel and H2.

You can see all 4 commercials on the BMW Motorrad USA website here: http://www.feedyourrestless.com/

Surprised I hadn't seen it here yet.

Re: NEW BMW Motorrad USA TV ads

First off I'm always glad to see any type of motorcycle advertising, especially BMW ads. But can't say i'm a real fan of these restless ads. Looks like the riders in these ads just took a hit of meth or crack. Feet jumping, impatient, and the cure is go buy a BMW and ride like a bat out of hell? Exactly how many new riders do they expect to win with these ads?

I'm certainly no advertising guru, but I believe that they always shoot to strike the 18-49 age bracket in advertising. H-D is suffering big time, because younger riders stay away in droves. Looks to me like BMW is trying to attract younger buyers - and that makes sense.

Um, maybe the ones that aren't 60 years old like us!

I did see the ad last night and I liked it but thought it was strange that it didn't talk about any particuar model, just saw them ride off on the K1600.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess you haven't seen many meth or crack heads. Certainly none of those folks looked like THIS.

Re: NEW BMW Motorrad USA TV ads

All four commercials can be seen at Feed Your Restless.

One ad focuses on the Sport bikes, S1000RR & K1300S.

One focuses on the Adventure bikes, R1200GS & R1200GSA.

One focuses on the Touring bikes, K1600GT & K160GTL.

And the final ad combines all of those, plus a couple of other bikes, and finishes with a tag line for whatever dealer is local to that advertising market.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...
