Buy the bike?

Hey guys, I wanted to ask everyone what they would do if they were in my shoes. I just test rode a Suzuki Bandit 1200 with performance pistons, re-jetting of carbs, and full yoshi exhaust. The bike pulled like a beast and was a blast to ride and is in great shape for its year.

However. . after my test ride and when I stopped the bike, I noticed one drop of oil towards the front part of the motor. It was only one drop. . I talked to him for a while while it was sitting there. I was unable to determine where it was coming from using a spotlight. The guy that is selling has had it for 4 years and put about 2k miles on it. Bike currently has 16k miles.

Is this something normal or should I walk away from it due to the drip. I don't want to be having to top off the bike with oil and can only assume it is also leaking when driving. . don't know.

Can anyone advise of their thoughts and what they would do. Bike is fairly priced but he is not giving it away either.

Thanks for your help and advice.

Re: Buy the bike?

I would check the internet sites for that bike. You should find out a lot besides the oil drop. You could also check a local Suzuki mechanic. God luck!
