Long trip, will need tires. Recommend an installer

I am planning a long trip out West from the Chicago area leaving in about 10 days.
I have about 2000 miles on a set of Metzler Tourances on my '06 GS.
I could see as much as 7000 miles and will need tires at some point.
At home I have a great local guy who I can have tires shipped direct and he puts them on for $35.00 per wheel. Wondering if anybody has a trusted local shop that might let me send tires to and mount them for a reasonable price. Maybe a local forum member has the equipment in his garage and wouldn't mind a wayward traveler...I would pay for time and provide the cold beverages for after as well.

I will be traveling to Phoinex and then Moab...on to Napa and then a Northerly route home, stopping in Salt Lake as well.

Thanks

Ron

The local Cycle Gear charges about $35/tire for mounting and balancing, etc...
I also have a local Ducati dealer that only charges $20/tire in cash paid directly to the tech.
So I get my tires from swmototires.com shipped to my home.
You can use the same process and if you are riding through Los Angeles you can have your tires shipped to my house and I'll take you to have them mounted when you get here.
I suspect you can do something similar with other member of this forum. Just a thought.

I would post in the Southwest Forum and plan on getting tires in Phoenix area if that is your 1st destination.

That way you have new tires for trip thru Canyonlands and Moab.
Be sure to go thru Zion NP.

Maybe here.
