Wow! A reminder why we ATGATT around here

I am an Admissions Counselor for a local Technical College and yesterday was orientation before classes begin on monday. One of the young men walked up to check in with a black eye, scabs around his neck and outer edges of his ears. He his right arm had a nasty looking scrape that ran nearly the whole length of his forearm and his hand was completely bandaged. His left arm was a bit better and he was sporting a boot for a broken right foot.

When I asked what happen he said he crashed his crotch rocket and all he could remember was the back tire moving out from under him. He said that he had 7 staples keeping his scalp together. No helmet and flip flops. Yikes! Was he a sight. He wrecked on a city street on a curve--speed limit at 30mph.

I told all my coworkers who make fun of me for the full gear I wear to work that's the reason why I look like a power ranger.

That's interesting. A while back I did almost the same thing. Went through some oil on a freeway on ramp that I thought was water. Back end spun out at about 30 mph. I got a small hole in the pocket of the Motoport pants and a little abrasion on my jacket that you have to look hard to see. This was on my RT. $5000 worth of damage to the bike. Nothing to me. Hope he learned.
