Real Bike for a Real Man

Real Bike for a Real Man

Cut the price in half and take out all the machismo hyperbole, and it might be a decent enough bike.

Some people see the gas tank as half empty. Some see it as half full. All I care is that I know where the next tankful is coming from...

Re: Real Bike for a Real Man

A cheap bike from a cheap bike company when it was new.

Does a noisy muffler on a Cobalt make one manly?

Re: Real Bike for a Real Man

I don't know about manly, but my brother had a 1978 XS 400 that he rode all over the western US and it seemed like a well made enough bike.

Re: Real Bike for a Real Man

I had six different XS1100's over the years. Rode all over the US on those . . .

That bike was definitely ahead of its time, but looking back all I can think is "Stupid fast, with marginal handling and no brakes . . . "
