Rented a Harley

My wife and I are in las Vegas celebrating our anniversary, we decided to rent a harley for a couple days. Right away she didn't like it. The seat wasn't as comfy, lots more wind on her, she missed the handles on the side cases, and we both could really feel the engine heat. On top of all that, the vibration wasn't great, just made the waistband on her shorts itch.

We miss our LT!!!

Thumbs up Re: Rented a Harley

BMW of Las Vegas on the SW edge of town will rent you an LT. They are a great dealership, in my opinion. However, I've only visited them once and was there when 4 fellows returned their rented bikes. All were BMW's including an LT.

Loved your post though. LOL

Bought used K1200LT number 3. This one is green/teal with 31,369(now 7/29/2018 54,143) miles and is an '02. The first 2 bikes made it to near 150,000 miles.

Due to heart health, the Dr says not to ride under 40 degree air temp. Ugh! Now it is harder to get my 18000 miles a year in just in the summer. Guess that stopped my 20 degree rides now.

Re: Rented a Harley

Just returned from four days in Rapid City, SD, rented a Harley Ultra Classic trike. First time on a trike ,took a little while getting used to but really enjoyed it. Great for touring, sightseeing and taking pictures.

Re: Rented a Harley

I rented an Electra Glide Ultra Classic in June 2007. Bike had about 1600 miles on it. I put quite a few on that weekend. It wasn't bad while moving, but too much vibration when stopped. I didn't like having my feet out in front of me. Too many bumps that I wanted to rise off the seat for and couldn't. Every now and then I still get the (((SHAKES)))!
