Hi to everyone

I just wanted to say hello to everyone, as I'm about to become the happy owner of a 2nd hand 2006 black LT with some 25'000km on the record.
It seems to be a good moment over here (Switzerland) for 2nd hand LT as many owners are swapping them for the new 1600GTL.
Have a nice day
Paul

Re: Hi to everyone

Welcome to the forum...no doubt you will enjoy your new ride. I would encourage you to soak up the great wisdom gleaned from some very smart wise owners/riders on this sight.

Re: Hi to everyone

So, I went to fetch the beauty last Saturday and managed to do some 300 miles since then, with a busy family weekend and a full time job... Not bad!
I sure hope our nice autumn weather goes on and on and on!

Thanks for the welcome!

Starfighter: Well well, a Botta-fan and Heidi-fan.
Botta is some 68 yrs old now, but still thriving. It seems to me he builds less in Switzerland in recent years, a lot more in Italy and also in Asia. He's a real phenomenon.
As for the Heidi's,... we have our loads of Britney's and Pamela's now...... Sorry to tell you Heidi isn't in the top-100 of first names anymore...

Have a nice day!!!

Re: Hi to everyone

Welcome aboard Paul. Our daughter lives in Basel at present and keeps wanting me to come visit and rent a motorcycle and enjoy the riding over there. Sounds like a beautiful place. Hope to hear a lot from you

Re: Hi to everyone

On our train trip through the Alps about 18 months back, all I could do was stare at the peaks and then down at the beautiful twisty roads going through them, and feeling really jealous of the bikes I saw.... maybe one day....

cheers

Re: Hi to everyone

@boatzo
Does your daughter ride a bike over here?

@cws
That's exactly what I think about wherever I go on holiday and drive the car with the family ... Turkey, SW-USA,...
Last Sunday morning, I did a small mountain pass, was up there at 8.45 am, just in time for sunrise, had a coffee and was back home with croissants at 10.00.

Cheers

Oh yeah?

Well, I got up this morning, and drove one of our famous roads that never, ever turns or curves, sucked down polluted air, and got home in time for a bowl of cereal.
