World's priciest motorsickle

A 1929 Brough (please, please pronounce it Bruff) Superior SS100, one of only 29, sold recently for $446,217 at auction. It's 1,000 cc V-twin reportedly can push it over the ton.

I want one. I'm just about $446,200.00 short currently.

You can buy 4, well equipped brand new 911 Carrera GTS's for that kind of money.

I hear most of the guys that made farkles for that particular bike have gone out of business. You'd have to leave it mostly stock, Ron...

And if you could afford it, would you put a new seat on it?

A friend of mine used to run one of those as a hack - it'd been in his family for a couple of generations (his grandfather's, I think) He used to call it his "Rough Inferior"

Isn't that the bike that T E Laurence ( Laurence of Arabia ) met his maker on ?

Re: World's priciest motorsickle

You're right Patric, it is indeed the same type of bike that T.E. Laurence died on - I belive he had several of them.
