Re: 20 foot u turn

You're a better rider than me. Congratulations. Took the ABATE ERC on the LT. Couldn't get the 20 foot turn for nothing. Dropped the bike so much got exhausted getting back up and had to have help. Every one else rode light dual purpose bikes. Dumb on me.

Re: 20 foot u turn

Very nice John and I like your new ride. Question: What techniques are different in doing the BOX on the GW and your previous LT?

Also, do you find it's any easier with the lower COG on the GW?

Well done, very smooth.

Thumbs up Re: 20 foot u turn

Nice!
Dumb me, I've been praticing figure 8's in four parking spaces, 18 x 40.
Now I don't feel so bad when I go out side the box alitle.
Pratice, pratice, pratice, you can not get enough.

Re: 20 foot u turn

I had an ERC student once before class that let me ride his GW. I was immediately comfy in the box on it. Not so much with the LT. Not sure why that is. But the vid makes it look super easy.

Good job.

They are both big heavy bikes. Technique is the same for me. Throtte up, speed controled with the clutch, no brakes. Head and eyes with a lot of counter weight. You can hear me burp the throttle to keep the rpms up, but I manage the speed with clutch.

No easier or harder, is not he issue. For me each motor has their sweet spots, and you just to have to find it. I heard practice, practice and more practice. Before each class I will go into the u-turn box and practice on wing...........do it!!!
