Well I just wont say goodbye as I enjoy reading the forum too much.
Also need to watch how the GTL does when it arrives.
Mostly because I like a lot of the Forum Members so much and I have not even met them!
The ones I have had the privilege to meet are first class to say the least.
The information on this forum is priceless and the members committed (some should be) to the LT is more then any dealer, or manual could ever be.
So the criteria was I had to use my Insurance money only, and that was to include all farkels.
So I got this:
She is a 2010 FJR1300 in Liquid Silver. I wanted to try something a bit lighter then the LT, and she is, but still 643 pounds wet. Course it has a 6.6 gallon tank.
She got 2 miles on her and none by me, I cant ride yet
Man I spent like a drunken sailor on her for farkels. And I got everything I read about that I thought I even needed including a Givi E52 Trunk!
Got to say no matter what ST bike you ride you pay through the nose for suspension, period! Traxxion Dynamics who the Wingers get hooked up from grabbed my butt for just about a grand for two fork springs and a rear Penske shock. If I would have done the forks out in AK 20s cartridges it would have been about 1100.00 for them alone! But the guy was great and I asked him best bang for the buck he said the front is way under sprung, get two springs.
I sit on it and make vroom vroom noises, and when caught I tell them it is the meds
I still will be checking in and hanging out, and will always render aid if I get called out of the Anonymous Book or e-mailed.
I will own another BMW if these new generation bikes pan out. I just needed a lighter bike, needed to try a different brand for a bit, and more importantly no payment for a bike to my liking.
Thanks to all of you over the years, you been great to me and that is really saying something
Can I still wave to BMW Riders
