2 months, 2 days...

...and I'm back in the saddle! Got out for my first ride since the accident back on May 2nd. It felt damned good to be back on a bike again, even better to be able to ride the Hyper since I just got it back last week. I only went 60 miles, which waws probably adequate for a shakedown run for me and the bike. My shoulder was my biggest concern, and while it's a little tired and achy and a few bumps jarred it pretty well, overall it felt fairly strong and stable. I still have a little ays to go to 100%, but I'm getting there!

While the bike was being repaired I added an aftermarket Zeta bar kit and a SpeedyMoto pressure plate, springs and 10 spoke cover (to match the Marchesini wheels; yeah, I'm a poser now ). Hit the link below for some pics of the ride and the new bling.

Glad you were able to get back in the saddle, David. Good luck as you continue to heal.

Wow, that's a pretty bike! It looks like it's doing 70mph just sitting still. Like the 10 spoke clutch thingy, it looks really cool.

ibbones - You should be on it when it's actually doing 70, or better. put s stupid grin all over your face. it's hilarious to ride.

Joe - I do owe you a ride on "your" bike, big time! Especially after you flew 2000+ miles to drive me around in a truck. Get back out here and a full weekend of 2 wheeled debauchery is yours my friend!!

BTW - the Knock Knock joke still gets a laugh, expect from those it hits a little close to home with.

Re: 2 months, 2 days...

Went out yesterday and rode another 110 miles up on the kill, had lunch at Alice's went out to the coast, etc. My shoulder is a little stiff and sore today but it was still awesome being on the bike! I guess I need to get the GT out and see how I do on that.

Nice bike, David. New helmet looks good, also.
