Local HD Dealer Now Offering N2

I was at a meeting today and a buddy that rides a Harley showed me an e-mail where the local dealer is now offering to fill your tires with Nitrogen. They cite improved tire life, better handling and increased mileage. They only charge you $29.99 per tire for all these benefits.

I think I'll stick with my 78% Nitrogen that I get for free.

Hi , there is a bit of info out there about Nitrogen in your tires . On this page , It looks like it is more important to not get fluid in your tires . http://home.comcast.net/~prestondrake/N2_FAQ_Q01.htm see case #6

That site has lots of useful information about nitrogen in tires. Click on the links on the left side to read other good stuff about nitrogen. Bottom line: For motorcycle tires, it doesn't help enough to matter. Save your money.

If any of their "customers" really wanted "better handling"
why would they buy a Harley in the first place?

It might add to some of the "cool" factor for some,
but only if it is "american made" nitrogen?

This info appears to be about 4 years old. Is it still pertinent ??
