Ducati Sport Classic

I rode to a new BMW dealership that opened in Chattanooga called Pandora's European Motorsports. I sat on a Ducati Sport Classic and really like it not as a tourer but as fun bike to ride. Just wanted to know some other opinions on the Ducati I have never owned one.

Re: Ducati Sport Classic

I bought a 2008 Hypermotard 1100S a few months back. first Ducati and I'm having a blast with it. If you're looking for a bike to go have a bunch of fun with I don't think you can go wrong.

Re: Ducati Sport Classic

I briefly owned a 2009 Ducati Monster.
Coming from BMW to Ducati I noticed a lot of little things that made me feel that it was had inferior build quality and I unloaded the bike as quickly as I could. The check engine light would flash on each afternoon on my ride home from work. The wiring was inadequately weather sealed.

Biggest complaint about the Monster was the 120 mile range on every tank.

As for looks, nothing sexier on two wheels than the Ducati. I was able to sell it very easily.

Re: Ducati Sport Classic

I rode a Sport Classic and liked it. Like most of the dual valve Duc air-cooled V-twins, it wants to be revved. On the highway at 60 mph in 6th gear I could tell it wasn't real happy, and cracking the throttle at that condition produced no increase in forward motion - a sure sign that a lower gear is needed. It has a riding position that I can actually ride - better than the Monster. Pretty - nice bike.
