How'd you like....

How'd you like to be on the Tail of the Dragon (or any other road) and have this guy start to cross the center line and come at you? Do you think he'd see you in time? As a matter of fact this did happen on US 129 at the bottom of the Dragon along the river. The gravel lot was the giveaway.

Re: How'd you like....

OMG! It's not lookin too good for the Smokies on rock slides this year. First there was I-40 and it is still closed, then Hiway 64 in the Ocoee valley near Dam #2 and now the Dragon. Oh yeah, that guy was asleep at the wheel alright. Or all the cops and the film crew at the side of the road "distracted" him.

Re: How'd you like....

Well, the video is on the north side of the Dragon by the lake, before crossing the bridge and starting the climb into the area. There has been lots of rain and freezing cold up in the area, so there have been some rock slides. I was through the Dragon itself about 3 weeks ago for work. At that point in time, there weren't any rock slides there, but plenty of trees down and cut back (though not cut back far enough for me). All the big pullouts up top have been paved over, so we won't have to worry about gravel from folks pulling off and back on the road. NC-28 from Stecoah to Dragon have had several rock slides and will require some heads up while riding back and forth.

On His Ride,
Steve
