Re: Rider Needs Help In Grand Juncture Colorado

I think Grand Junction is also a HD dealer and open on Mondays. Take the wheel off and have them just to change and balance the wheel, They charge $140.00 to change it on the bike! Fond memories of CCR Utah!

Just looked it up on I-Net and HD and BMW is the same and open on Mondays. Shop is open for emergency customers and to catch up on other jobs.

Re: Rider Needs Help In Grand Juncture Colorado

Thqnks, BMW doesn't answer. I had the bike dropped at Motercycle Accesories on Main st in GJ. They are open and putting a set of Dunlops on now. Only option. Don't want to wait till Tuesday to find out if the have tires and can fit me in.

Safeco ins is all right in my book. they winced but autorized a tow from moab ti GJ cause it was the closest BMW dealer.

Glad you got back on the road.
Good to know about Safeco. I switch to them a few months back from Progressive. I got a lot more medical coverage for less moeny!

Re: Rider Needs Help In Grand Juncture Colorado

saga continued....Turns out the dunlops they had were not right for the LT. The guy found a set of the proper Bridgestones and had them shipped out next day. Cost me $125 in shipping plus I paid over $100 more for the tires at retail then I usually do buying on my own. Finally got on the road Tuesday at around 12:30pm. Home Wednesday eve. Thanks for the responses. I think I am going to keep an extra set of tires at home in and if I get into truble...have em shipped out as needed.
