That's really all it's worth. Especially now with Buell being shut down...

Not at all. That's a HUGE loss for the dealer and/or HD if they're giving the dealers some back end incentives. Some times you have to do that to move product.

You got a point. Still, MCs in general cost way more than they should.

Not true.

"Flickinger said a limited number of new Buell motorcycles remain available for sale through authorized dealerships and production will wind down by October 30. He also stressed that Harley-Davidson will provide replacement parts and service through dealerships and that warranty coverage will continue as normal for Buell motorcycles. "

Now, getting good service for a Buell has always been problematic so "continue as normal" is not necessarily a great thing.

Re: I will be calling the Harley dealer tomarrow

warranty is still available. I sure hope someone picks up Buell. They have been progressing in performance quite quickly. The new ones come with the rotax engine from Austria. I've called a few dealers. Seems like there is not too many around. Youngstown dealer offered me a CR for 6200 with all fees paid. A good deal, but I'm going to wait it out. I don't really need another bike sitting in the garage. The Ullysses is only discounted 3K

Does anyone know offhand if Buell's are "50 State" emissions vehicles?

And they are probably still making a little money off each deal.
Maybe $1,000.00 wouldn't you think

OK guys, I'll ask: the price is sure right! Is Buell any better quality than a H-D? Who makes the engines? H-D?!

I read three reviews of the "sport touring" model (air-cooled twin, I believe). The reviews were all relatively positive! H-D dudes, sound-off here please.

Re: I will be calling the Harley dealer tomarrow

Rather not turn this into another pointless HD bashing thread so if you've never owned a late model Harley, you really shouldn't talk about their quality. The three I've owned were far and away the most reliable and well put together bikes I've ever owned. Absolutely bullet proof and nobody paints or plates like HD. Too bad they don't make a kick ass sport touring bike or I'd still be a customer.

I read somewhere that Rotax built or worked with Buell to create some of their engines. That's a good thing.

Talking Re: I will be calling the Harley dealer tomarrow

I have recently acquired a 2009 Buell Ulysses along with a Buell 2009 1125CR and I have now 10,000 miles on the Ulysses and 4,500 miles on the 1125CR and only 3,500 miles on the LT. I just returned from a week long trip to Arkansas for the purpose of riding the hills & curves on my Ulysses. I can tell you this that no other bike passed me, in fact I had to wait many times for the group to catch up and they were all riding other adventure class bikes. The new Buell's handle and run great, the 1125R & CR share the same frame with the Ulysses and they both run the curves with no problems and they both install confidence in your ride. I really hate to see the closing of the Buell Motor Company. JMHO

OK.....So if I'm reading you right, you're talking about H-D, and implying that said "quality" also applies to Buell?
