Thumbs up for Chicane USA

At CCR my Chicane tank bag had one of the front velcro straps tear off. The bag is not new, but has not had much use. Since Chicane was there I talked to Randy Klamm about credit on a new bag. He wanted to see the bag and he said "he would do me right". I brought the bag back and he exchanged it outright atno cost to me. Now that is service. I love his bags and would buy his bags again in a second.

I asked him about his business and he said he had major problems with manufacturing, but is back in business now. I am not sure where he is selling now, I should have asked him.

Thanks Randy, nice to deal with a stand up guy...

That is great news!!!

No, not that they exchanged your bag, cause that is old news for them, but the fact they are up and running again. Yea!!!

That service doesn't surprise me; they're just great to work with and have been for years.

And their gear is SO well designed - I bought my second Chicane tank bag at CCR, as well as one of their cool new duffel-type bags (the silver ones). They're like the old Helen2Wheels duffel bags (long my personal favorite bags) that open along the top, roll up and clip to make them waterproof.

But Chicane's are actually better designed, with softer material (easier to work with/stuff), loops in the sides that can be used for tie-down, and straps that can be cinched tight both on the top and each end!

I love a good product, and especially love dealing with good people like Chicane!

Not so fast, I have the same problem with my bag, went to Randy at CCR but had a different outcome than you. He gave me a piece off of an old bag so my wife can sew it back! Ain't that some crap!

That's just you Brett.

Randy's web site should be back on line soon. He modified my old LT bag at the MOA rally in West Bend with an elastic loop no charge. I had picked up a R1200GS bag at CCR and when I got it home I found it didn't fit the NEW 2009 tank very well. Contacted Randy and he said send it back for a full refund. I still have high regard for their products and service.

I bought my tank bag and my top rack bag a few years ago from Messy13. He had them for a long time before me. My bags have never given me a problem and have kept my crap nice and dry.

Does anyone have a site to contact Chicane or a phone #? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
