Is this a good price for 1976 R75/6?

$5500 cdn

Is this a good price for an 1976 R75/6?

Specs:

Very clean 1976 R75/6. Garage-kept. Lovingly restored and cared for. New paint in 2001 in BMW black with hand pinstriping. Valve job and timing chain this spring. Many new parts and accessories: Metzeler tires, Stainless Exhaust, Parabellum Smoked Windscreen, Brown’s Sidestand, Locking Gas Cap, Hepco & Becker Chrome Luggage Rack & Hard Bags with Kathy’s Bag Liners, Odyssey Battery, Crash Bars, Complete Tool Kit, Mint condition Owners Manual (and original oil stained manual) and Clymer Shop Manual, Corbin seat with removable backrest. Includes a new oil filter for your first oil change and a box full of original parts that have been replaced (see below). I'll even throw in a Deltran Battery Tender, 2 pairs of gloves (summer and winter) and a Nolan flip helmet (size XL).

Replaced parts include push rod tube seals, head gaskets, oil pan gasket, alternator, points, oil pressure switch, neutral light indicator, clutch cable, fuel line, spark plugs, carb rebuild, master cylinder rebuild, steering damper, throttle tube, handgrips, mirrors, cable boots, footpeg & shifter rubber. Just clicked over 50,000 miles but runs like new. Ready to ride anywhere!

A bit on the high side even with all that but not way out of whack. It's just a tough market right now.

Got pictures?

The prices for vintage BMW's has really gone up lately. If the bike is clean and you like the /6's I'd say it's worth it. Your happiness means more than what any Blue Book says.

The Old's Cool section of www.advrider.com has a fervent following for the older BMWs.
