Final Drive Failure My Butt!

So this guy just came by the house wanting some tires swapped... Sure I'll do it, I like talking to riders.

He brings in two rear wheels for a Harley.
I look at the first one and ask what the he11 happened to the hub?
He says, the sprocket came loose and locked up the rear wheel.

No Lie! There were three of the five bolts broken off in an alloy wheel... Broken off more like sheared right off.

Luckily this happened in town in a 35MPH zone or he could have been hurt.

I wonder what damage it did to the swing arm?

Needless to say, he is still a huge fan of HD.
He seemed like the type who only rode a motorcycle to get the better parking in front of the bar.

_ Why is there never enough time to do it right the first time, but always enough time to do it over?
