ADDIction Addicts.. HELP ME

I bought my 2001 LT back in July. I bought it 1300 miles away for a reason..
I loved almost every minute of it.. (bolt falling out of the rear shock - at the exact moment -off a speed bump-while in a parking lot- introduced to me the parking lot nap procedure) was the exception.

Turn the page forward. I have put 4000 miles on Sally Ride (gf named her) and now have postured myself to the ADDICTION.
I bought a low mileage 2004 R1150RT (10K) and a 2007 1200 GS ( 14 miles!)...
I must have lost my mind..
now this trip will be from Max's in New Hampshire to Houston 1941 miles....
and INclude a breakin stop as I must driver the GS slow to break in...
Is this me or AM i doomed.?

I love the LT and almost every day ride her for at least a hour around town to just keep that feeling...
ROAD TRIP! gotta go dew the big bend country now...

halp mee. I.... Can't..... Stop....

I could play with women or with cars, I find cars are cheaper and you can write a book about cars a guy would understand.

Yep, you're doomed!

I really hate it when the bolt falls out of the rear shock! This has GOT to be a first...

Re: ADDIction Addicts.. HELP ME

A first for me too. WHat I am guessing is that this thing had aftermarket shocks and they just put back on what came on the bike.
I mean here it was a bolt on the ground, me on the ground... the big girl on the parking lot taking the biggest nap that I HAVE EVER seen.
When I got her up, the suspension was down a bit, but I was able to put the kick stand down.. albeit with the bike being held up... SHe was STRAIGHT up...So I parked her on an incline, walked over and noted the bolt...my friend said it was probably from some other car... I looked at it, said maybe but it wont hurt to haul it and dropped the bolt in the trunk..

I did give the bike a once over, but it did'nt register that something that I had just picked up from a Dealership would be missing a bolt.. she ran fine, but i couldnt lean into the corners like i thought she should.. (this shoulda been a *ding!* moment...

In KanKAkee, Ill., I tried to fill up and there was no way i could put the stand down, so I just held her up and filled the bike up.. Then looked close and noted the shock was resting on the arm..

Its been love ever since tho..

Re: ADDIction Addicts.. HELP ME

I almost know the feeling!

I bought mine about 200 miles away for the same reason. (Here in the northeast, 25 miles is considered far! "You're going all that way?" is a comment heard regularly around here.)

Whenever I ride my Rosie, I just don't want to stop! I get home and I want to go right back out again! We did a charity ride a couple of weeks ago, the ride alone was 65 miles, not counting the trip from my house to the start and then the end back home. I did close to 150 miles that morning and when I returned home, I was ready to go again.

She's the only bike I have now (I have a super-scooter in the shop) but I love riding.

Re: ADDIction Addicts.. HELP ME

My LT was a Christmas persent to myself - that was the excuse anyway. Just over 8 months later and I have put 22,500 miles on it. Am I addicted too?
